A quick post to let you all know, it is a BOY!! Me and my babygirl are so excited for our new addition to arrive, Parker Joseph, will be making his big arrival towards the end of June!

Snow Day 2011

Boy did we get something on Sunday that we normally don't get to see! Last time I checked we had over 7 inches on the ground. It was so pretty!! But we have some pretty dangerous road conditions today, so Bella and I are stuck in the house. My car is not 4wd and we wouldn't make very far! She keeps wanting to go somewhere, but the roads are icy and it's not supposed to make it above freezing today. Needless to say, we get a SNOW DAY! :) No work for me, no school for Bella. The temps are supposed to fall into the teens tonight - so looks like the roads will be bad again in the morning. I'm a true southern girl, I like to see the snow - but a day of it is enough for me! We did have some fun in the snow yesterday though!!

She was having fun until her feet went up in the air and her butt landed on the ground, she was fine but was ready to go back inside!

We had a pretty good weekend and the snow just topped it off! I'll leave yall with a few more pics of Bella from Saturday - she got a haircut (actually about 3 inches cut off!) and was very excited with her new do!

Christmas Recap & Some News!

Happy New Year Folks! It has been way too long and I need to get back into blogging! Christmas has come and gone and I have a few pictures to share. Bella had a great Christmas, of course - she got way too much, but enjoyed every bit of it! And of course, not forgetting the reason for the season - Bella had to sing Happy Birthday to Jesus. She is so sweet and growing up way too fast!

On to other news - Bella is going to be a BIG SISTER!! She is very excited and just adament that the baby is a sister, she even says she saw a "hairbow" on the first sonogram...my child has a vivid imagination! My approximate due date is July 3rd, but I will have a scheduled c-section so we're looking at around June 27th or so unless things change before then. I am currently 14 weeks and 1 day, I actually go back to the doctor today. We will be scheduling a sonogram for my next appointment and hopefully Baby Harrington will cooperate and let us know what he or she is! I am just wanting a happy and healthy baby, boy or girl does not really matter (but it would be fun to have a boy to have one of both!)

It's Been Awhile!

Ok, so I've decided to get back to blogging...after a 2 month stall, sorry! I've just been really busy with different things and my little side business has really taken off! If anyone needs pillowcase dresses, hairbows, tutus, personalized onesies, burp cloths, etc, etc, etc....just let me know! Facebook has tremendously helped my business grow. If ever just browsing around, visit The Razzle Dazzle Shop & "like it". I'm thinking about adding some kind of contest to where the 100th person (have a few to go to reach that..!) will receive a free boutique hairbow or something like that!

This summer Bella took gymnastics and loved it, but has since decided to take dance this fall instead (she's going to make her mama proud!) She starts next week at All Rythym Dance Alley and will be taking ballet and tap. Let's just say, she is VERY excited about this! She's going to be so cute in her little leotard & tutu. I started dance when I was her age and took all the way up to my junior year in high school. Speaking of high school, my 10 year reunion is this October. I can not believe it has been 10 years, kind of makes me feel old! :)

Hello blog world! I've been gone for a little over a month - I've just been busy doing lots of things & unfortunately blogging wasn't one of them, sorry! But just a quick update on things around our world - the cruise was awesome (I will try and post pics soon)and we finally got our boat out & had a fun weekend getaway with some friends last weekend at Broken Bow (will have some pics of that as well!) My baby girl will be 3 tomorrow, can't believe it's already been three years. She is growing up way too fast and her favorite phrase right now is "...when I get bigger!" She's going to be in kindergarden before I know it! Her party is Saturday and I will post pictures of that - looks like I will be posting lots of pictures on here! :)

Cruise Countdown - 3 Days!

Hello Blog world! I have been MIA for quite some time now, sorry for the delay! We have just been very busy w/ lots of things! I've been doing some craft shows & trying to get ready for our cruise. The cruise has had a change of plans though - Jared decided Sunday (6 days before cruise day!) that he did *NOT* want to go!? Okay now, what's wrong with this picture?? He says he has no desire to go on a cruise - so....me & my Mama are going! I have a feeling we're going to have a really good time. Jared will have daddy duty from Friday - Thursday...prayers please! :) Hopefully Miss Bella will be good...she's just a big-time mama's girl these days. But I am making her up some little gift bags to have as a "bribe" for getting ready each morning!

On another note, Bella had some glamour shots made a few weeks ago & the pictures are absolutely adorable! She did wonderful & made her mama proud. I will get those pictures posted soon on here.

I will try to get some pics of Bella posted before we leave & I might even be able to get Jared to post some while I'm gone (we'll see about that one!).

I'll try & not be missing for so long next time!

My baby girl is turning into a "big girl" now. She has worn her panties since Thursday with no accidents!! Even on a road trip this weekend, we had to make several stops & get the potty out so Miss Priss could go. We really needed our video camera with us....its was quite a scene! Everyone is so proud of Bella & most importantly - she is proud of herself!

Easter Weekend Recap!

Well, I hope everyone had a fabulous weekend and a great Easter! We had a rather eventful weekend with our church's egg hunt on Saturday morning and then with the beautiful day we had on Saturday, my child did not spend much time inside....but she had a great time being outdoors and then Easter Sunday, of course was another busy day with church & family eatings! Bella also had an egg hunt at school on Friday. We have entirely TOO MUCH candy!! Anyone need some!? :)
We reached a new milestone on Saturday afternoon....Bella learned how to ride her bicycle (w/ training wheels, of course!) and so now, we think we're big stuff and don't want to do anything but ride our bike or jump on the trampoline. She loves being outside!!

Well, I hope everyone has a great Monday! Kind of hoping for a rain shower to wash some of this pollen away, everything's a not-so-nice shade of yellow.

Miss Bella has made a habit of coming to mommy & daddy's bed in the wee hours of the morning, EVERY morning for the last few months. She says nothing wakes her up, but she just wants to come to our bed. She immediately falls back to sleep without a problem.

Well, this morning when she came to bed, she was somewhat fussing/whining/crying/a little bit of drama! I thought nothing of it b/c she is like that sometimes, but around 4 this morning when she was snuggled up to me, I noticed she felt awfully hot!! She was not sleeping real well, but wouldn't let me take her temp (by the way, tonight - I'm investing in one of the thermometers that you just rub across the forehead!). When it was time for her to wake up to get ready for playskool, she was fighting waking up & at the same time her little face was burning up! Again, tried to take her temp under her arm, but with her squirming & fussing - that wasn't happening. So, I finally got her dresses while she was still half asleep in bed and finally got her to get up by asking if she wanted to go to work with mama. That worked wonders! I got her ready (she wanted nothing to do w/ daddy), gave her some tylenol and we went on our way. I called the doc at 8 to get an appt and we lucked out & got in at 9:30 (shocking, yes!) We were suprised Dr. Payne had an opening. Bella calls her the "little girl"...it's hilarious! She used to see Dr. Green, who is a man BUT Miss Priss does not care for him. He's a pretty big guy, but an awesome doctor, but Bella doesn't think so. If he were to walk in the room - she would literally start screaming & climbing up on whoever was there with her. It's not a good site, so we switched her to Dr. Payne & she absolutely loves her! Well, when we get to the doc, they're not real busy & they call us back literally before we get sat down good. Miss Bella is petite! She weighs in at 29.5 lbs and is not on the tall side ;) She takes after her mama! I try to be 5'1 with heels on! My baby has *Double* ear infections and was running a 100 degree temp after medicine. Poor thing can't feel good - but she told me the entire way to the doctor that she didn't feel bad & nothing hurt, she's a trooper! After her appt, she was very excited - of course, she got 2 suckers, but the best part she was getting to go stay the day with Nana. Nana is actually my aunt, who's grandkids call her Nana - so Bella just follows right along with them & that's what she calls her too! It's pretty cute. She was extra excited b/c her cousin Jordan would be coming to play later on - she's all about playing! Even with her being sick, she was the sweetest thing. Hopefully with her antibiotics & ear drops, she'll be feeling better soon! We have to go back for a check-up in 3 weeks to make sure everything's healed up. We'll be saying a prayer!

When you look at my blog now, you will notice that I've added a link to my etsy shop. Please stop & take a look when you have time. There are only a few items listed right now, but as I complete more items & make up ready-to-ship items, more will be listed. I will be doing burp cloths, blankets, hair bow holders, wall decor, and more to go along with my pillowcase dresses & bows! Refer your friends, I've gotten nothing but positive feedback from orders that have already been completed. I will also be adding items for boys!

Well, the sun is shining here in Texarkana - I'm ready for the weather to warm up & stay that way. I do not like these cool mornings, warm afternoons and cool nights nor do I like the allergies! I've already had a sinus infection & bronchitus since the weather started changing - you can say, I'm ready for summer time!

We cruise in 58 days! I have got to get started on tanning, this 'lil mama is some kind of white! I've got some shopping to do also, but we are excited & ready to go! It took me awhile to get Jared to agree to go on a cruise with me, but after much (basically) begging - he gave in. This will be our first cruise. We decided on just a 5 day for right now, but I'm *hoping* he will enjoy it enough so that we can go on a 7 day in the future (hint, hint Jared, if you read this --- St Lucia is calling my name!)

Sorry for no pics today, Bella wasn't in too good of a mood this morning (she really doesn't like being woke up...she's her mother's child for sure!)

St Patty's Day

Happy St Patty's Day!

Bella decided this morning that she needed her picture taken before school, but she was being somewhat silly! I may be a bit biased, but I think she is just about the cutest thing! This little outfit she's wearing was put together last night. I've been so busy making dresses for other people, I hadn't gotten around to one for my little diva (it's kinda pitiful - she'll come in when I'm working & ask if that's for her) so I was up 'til 11 working on her outfit & another dress and bow for a coworker. She was so excited that this one was finally for her! She's gets rather excited about clothing (that's what she likes to get for prizes when she's been extra good!)

Not quite sure why her hair looks red in this picture but I thought it was a pretty cute pic!

Hello all! Yes, I have been MIA for quite some time now - I have been extremely busy! I have started a little business on the side making pillowcase dresses, hair bows, bow holders, tutus, and much more plus I have been embroidering stuff. I am currently working on orders for 10 pillowcase dresses with matching bows. I will be posting designs as I finish.
This is a picture of part of an order for a co-worker's grandchild. The picture does not do it justice...the leopard w/ red is so cute!

It is hard to believe that 3 months from Thursday, my sweet Bella will turn 3 years old...June 18th is the big day. She thinks she's older than that - she told someone the other day that she was 5! We've already got her b-day party all planned out & she is super excited! Details to come later! :) It is finally getting warmer & she is really enjoying all this pretty weather and now with the time change, she is really excited because we can play outside longer. She loves to jump on her trampoline and play on her swingset. My mom & stepdad bought her a swing set for their house this weekend and boy, she thought she was something else. I think her favorite part of it was it having a see-saw, her mama & Bibbie got themselves a good workout (in the form of squats!) She really needs a sibling, but I don't see that happening or at least anytime soon. If we can ever get her potty-trained (ANY TIPS?!?), we will be good to go! She is so hard-headed, but very smart. I know she'll do it when she's ready - but mommy & daddy's grocery bill says to hurry up! She really amazes me in everything she does & says - we think this little girl is one smart cookie! She can count to 20, knows her abc's, says the Pledge of Allegiance, knows the Lord's Prayer, can spell red, orange & green (she learns to spell by singing songs - great idea!) and much much more. My baby girl is growing up fast! These next pictures were taken when we went to the park a few weekends ago, she had a blast!

Static - enough said!

Around the Harrington House, we are ready for some warmer weather! Along with the cold & dreary weather we've been having around here - every time Bella or I get anywhere near the couch, static happens! Bless her heart, it sometimes looks as if, she has stuck her finger in a light socket....it's kinda cute though (on her!). But yes, we are ready for old man winter to leave and let the sun come shining in and bring us some warmer temps so that we can go outside & play! Bella's ready to jump on her trampoline & play with her swing set (hopefully daddy will finally put the swings on!) Mommy's ready for some sun shine too - hopefully it will brighten everyone's moods!

Today - I got in a new toy! My embroidery machine came in - yay yay!! I'm so excited to start working with it. Now, all the stuff I make will become personalized! I will start posting what I make - if anyone's interested in anything - just let me know! I'm also starting a shop on Etsy, I will post that link later for all to see (once I get items uploaded, of course). We don't have a very busy weekend planned, so hopefully I will get lots accomplished! We are going to eat tomorrow night with our Sunday School class at some steakhouse (supposed to be awesome!) in Avinger, Tx. There are supposed to be over 50 people in attendance!

Valentine's Day!

Hope everyone had a Happy Valentine's Day! The above picture was taken before church this morning, Bella was very excited to go see all her "little" friends, as she calls them. And of course, we had to take Valentine's to each of them, including her teacher friend Miss Jessica - whom she absolutely adores! We are very blessed at our church to have some great workers in our preschool department (yes, including me!) She just loves going to church, so happy for that.

Well, just wanted to wish everyone a Happy Valentine's Day - hope you had a great day! This next picture is of Miss Priss before school on Friday....as you can see, we had a very excited little girl (they were having a party that day!).

It's Snowing!!!

Well, we finally got some snow today in Texarkana! After being on the very edge this winter a few times, it finally got to us! Last I heard, we have gotten close to 5 1/2 inches & it's still falling. It has been snowing all day since about 9:30 this morning or so and has not stopped. It hasn't done this in a long time! The last time we had any accumulation was Feb '07 when I was pregnant with Bella. She was amazed at the snow today! We played out in it and I about froze! I couldn't find my gloves anywhere and that snow is cold with bare hands. :) I got off work early today (I have a great boss!) so Miss Priss got picked up early from school (i.e. daycare) and was so excited for Mommy to pick her up. We were glad when Daddy got home so he could play outside too. Him & Bella made her first snowman...she was excited, but was ready to go in by that time. She had gotten cold & was very tired!
I guess you can say - people never grow up. Her daddy went back out after she had gone to bed & built an even bigger snowman in the backyard, but our Sheepdog wanted the charcoal he had used for eyes & nose & attacked the snowman. He's going to rebuild "Mr. Freeze" in the morning so Bella can see it. This time Lolo will not be outside!
Tomorrow is Bella's Valentine's Party at school. We made cupcakes & got her cards all put together, so hopefully they won't close her daycare. All of the schools here in town have already annouced they will be closed, so we'll just have to wait & see. But, she is very excited for her party & will be wearing the cutest little outfit. I appliqued polka-dot & zebra hearts onto some blue jeans & shirt & then made her a new bow to match. We always have to have the bow!

Future Chef in the Making!

This is Bella's favorite thing to do....Make COOKIES (of course we have to do them at Bibbie's house)!! And yes, she wanted to make them in Christmas shapes! I think we have a future chef or baker on our hands. She likes to help make them and especially likes to taste her final product!

Bella spent the night at her Bibbie's (my mom's) house last night. So mommy & daddy had a night alone (which I took full advantage of & slept 'til 11:00 this morning!) We got Bella's room finished (pictures to come later) & it looks so cute! Very bright (lime green & hot pink - accented w/zebra!) She is in her "big girl" toddler bed now & thinks she's grown. She's only been in it for about 3 weeks now so naptime isn't as easy as it was in the baby bed. But she's adjusting & still sleeps good at night.

This morning Bella also helped my mom make homemade waffles. She loves to hold the mixer! Maybe she'll have her own resturant one day! :)

This afternoon I went shopping with my mama. She's got to go to Indy this week for work & was needing some new clothes (along with borrowing 2 of my fav necklaces & my long dress coat --it's nice when mother/daughter wear the same size, she thinks!) She's hoping not to get snowed in while she's there!

I have been working on an awesome project involving wooden crosses, mod podge & paint. Pics will be shown when project is completed - I can't wait to see my finished piece!

Well, that's all for now. Gotta get things ready for church in the morning. Hope everyone had a good Saturday - tomorrow's Super Bowl Sunday - I'm rooting for the Saints!

Rain, Rain - Go Away!

Well it's been a rather yucky day today. It has rained all day long & is kinda chilly! It's just one of those days that you wish you could have just stayed in your PJs all day. They're calling for a bit of sunshine this weekend, so we'll have something to look forward to. I'm ready for springtime weather where Miss Bella can go outside & play. She LOVES being outside! She's a really good helper in the flower beds, but her ultimate passion is jump-jumping on her trampoline, of course she wants mommy & daddy to jump-jump too! We're just going to hope that Mr. Groundhog was not correct & that winter will be leaving earlier than thought.

There is one thing about tonight that I'm excited about --- we're booking our cruise!! Yay!! This will be the first cruise we've gone on & I'm super excited. I don't think Jared is too thrilled, but he'll get over it & have a great time. We haven't been on a "real" vacation since our honeymoon in St Lucia almost 5 years ago & then came Bella, but it's time for a break! Bella will be splitting time between my mom's & Jared's parents for the week - she probably won't even miss us being gone! We'll be leaving May 15 out of Galveston with two stops in Progresso & Cozumel. Our first cruise will be a 5 nighter, but hopefully I can convince Jared on the next one to go on a 7 day one so that we can hit the eastern side of the Caribbean.

Well, sorry for no pics today! We're off to a visitation, one of Jared's co-workers' father passed away. Nettles Family - you are in our thoughts & prayers! Then, time for some chicken & dumplings - yummy!

Well, the picture pretty much says all! Bella decided this weekend that she was going to take our (excuse me, "her") puppy and push her around in the doll stroller. I have to admit, the picture came out rather cute! Please excuse Bella's hair - this was taken Friday after a *hard* day at school. Lucy Lu is who Bella is pushing - she's the newest & smallest (weighing in at 1.5 lbs) member of our family. We weren't planning on getting another puppy after getting an English Sheepdog for Christmas - but my Shih tzu got ran over (people need to slow down!), so we just had to get another one to try & ease the hurt. This little pup may be small, but is oh so fiesty! But she just loves her Bella & Bella loves her. They just chase each other around & around.

I hope everyone had a great weekend - too bad we didn't get any snow here in Texarkana like all of the people up in Arkansas, Oklahoma & etc got. We had a few flurries Friday night, but that was the extent of it. Saturday, my mom & I decided to brave the cold and head to Canton (yes, it was Freezing - never got above 32!) It was cold, but we had a good time & got some cute stuff. I do believe I'm addicted - we've been 3 times in the last 4 months (& for those of you who don't know, it occurs the first weekend before the first Monday each month) I always get good ideas to make stuff & then come home and get to work. I will eventually post pictures of my creative side! :)

Well, I finally decided to join the blog world! After reading several blogs over the last few years, I decided that it was time for us to start sharing. I will begin posts with pictures within the next few days - we are just waiting to get Paint Shop Pro X3 for Windows 7. Does anyone use any of the Corel photo editing software? If so, give me pointers, please! I'd really appreciate it.
